A thing should be complicated if you intend to focus on it, but simple if it’s not. For instance, my wardrobe should be simple, but my plan for stalking a deer should be needlessly complex with intricate contingencies for changes in the wind.

We have 6 strands of snowflakes we bought for the tree two years ago and every year they wind up a knotted mess even if I carefully wrap them the year before. I told Brad last week that unless i handed you the project of untangling them they were done. Sadly we threw them out. I wish I had your patience. I love your complicatedly interesting self.
