I apologize to everyone for dropping off the face of the earth this week, I have been in Augusta for the Masters. I have not been taking very good care of my blog, and I promise in the future to do better. Now that I have a new computer and no more long trips I will be able to get my act together and post on a more regular basis. Also, I will be spending a lot of time in the library, and some how or another I’m sure I will need a good distraction. I will post a couple of pictures from the practice rounds – we didn’t take that many, but they were the prettiest days – pre mud days – before the course started to smell like a zoo. In other news, I watched Finding Neverland today, and it was a wonderful film. I love Jonny Depp. A lot. And Peter Pan is one of my favorite stories of all time. And I hate Michael Jackson for tainting the name Neverland through the naming of his sick ranch. It is a beautiful story and James M. Barrie was a genius. I love in the movie when he encourages Peter to write. I think everyone should write more – it is such a therapeutic and healthy habit – less of a hangover and it is fun to create something that wasn’t in existence until you put it onto paper. Also, imagination is something that is taught, I was taught to imagine from my parents and others, but also largely through books. L’Engle, Barrie, L.M. Montgomery, C.S. Lewis, F.H. Burnett, and many others contributed to forming my imagination as a young child. I count my imagination as one of my most treasured possessions and I am eternally indebted to these gifted writers. I promise to do better from now on, I hope everyone had an awesome week. See old Comments | See old Trackbacks
